Rectangular "Chan” Coffee Table in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with colorful hand-painted enamels on table top by Phlilip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (signed “Philip & Kelvin LaVerne” on top). The coloration of this table is spectacular.

ALCHEMY: THE ART OF PHILIP AND KELVIN LAVERNE written by Evan Lobel with Kelvin LaVerne, published by Pointed Leaf Press in 2024, The Chan Series is discussed at length in the introduction and tables are shown on pages 44-49 in the section titled Historical Civilization Series. The caption from the LaVerne catalog reads, “Chinese artistry at its peak under the Chan Dynasty is recreated in this intricately carved design. We see peasants carrying a sacred gift to the Emperor’s child. Delicately wrought leaves and figures, combine with a rich variety of multicolored patinas to create the Chinoiserie top. The design is credited as inspiring and evoking French and English periods of furniture design.”

Marc Lalique "Cactus Table" in Clear Crystal 1985 (signed) - SOLD

"Cactus Table"  for dining, entrance way or hall, in clear crystal with frosted glass base and glass top designed by Marc Lalique for Lalique, France in 1951.  This table is signed dated 6-9-1985.

Frosted glass round base bears fitted slots which hold the crystal “leafs”. A chrome circular ring sits atop the crystal supports, which then supports the clear glass circular top. All of the crystal supports are signed and dated “Lalique France”
The flawless design of this iconic table is incredible.
