Hand-blown glass vase with undulating form from the Yokohama Series, blue glass with murrhines and gold foil, by Aldo Nason for Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.V.E.M.), Murano Italy, 1960's. Nason, who trained with Giulio Radi, took his design techniques a step further. His works are less restrained.

The visual effects of the glass fragments are quite stunning. In the 1950’s with the sculptures of artists like Henry Moore experimenting with negative space, A.V.E.M. did too with several models and prototypes.
