Tommi Parzinger Rare 4 Door Lacquered Cabinet with Chrome Base 1960s (Signed) - SOLD

Rare 4 door liquor cabinet model no. P5 with hand-lacquered doors, interior light, and architectural chrome base by Tommi Parzinger for Parzinger Originals, American 1960's (signed with Parzinger Originals signature under drawer). According to Donald Cameron (Tommi Parzinger’s partner) before he passed away, this was a custom order with 4 doors. This model is shown in the catalog and was typically made in a 2 door version. The workmanship is incredible.

Rare and exceptional black lacquer 4 door cabinet with curved front, splayed legs and hand-set Venetian glass tiles by Vladimir Kagan, American 1953. This cabinet is an extraordinary example of Kagan’s ability to combine graceful design with the finest craftsmanship and materials.

The Complete Kagan by Vladimir Kagan (forward by Tom Ford), published by Pointed Leaf Press in 2004, on page 106 there is a photo of this piece with a matching dining table stating “Subtle curves characterized a c. 1953 dining room designed for this Manhattan apartment. The graceful shape of the dining table top complemented the bowed front of the buffet, while the almond shape of the inset Venetian mosaics in both were mimicked by the custom-made chandelier above.”

Joseph Demarais Textural Organic Lithograph 1968 (signed) - SOLD

Original complex organic lithograph with three-dimensional impression by Joseph Demarais, 1968 (1927-1971), artists proof and signed.  He was a talented artist and print maker. 

Joseph Demarais was born in 1927 in Hoboken, NJ. He is known as an innovative printmaker,  He pushed the limits of printmaking, using copper, zinc, masonite and acetate to achieve textural surfaces. During his seven year career as a printmaker, his three-dimensional impression created on handmade paper were exhibited in more than 100 galleries and museums in the United States and Europe. The director and founder of the International Print Society, Franz Geierhaas, published “The Graphic Works of Joseph Demarais: A Catalogue Raisonne”, detailing his life and work. Demarais passed away from heart complications in 1971, at age 44.  His work is in the Smithsonian American Art Museum, The Harvard Art Museums, Brooklyn Museum and other collections..

Anzolo Fuga Rare "Bandiere Vase" 1955-56 - SOLD

Rare and important hand-blown glass “Bandiere Vase” model 13471 by Anzolo Fuga for Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.V.E.M.), Murano Italy 1955-56. The Bandiere series was one of Fuga’s first series designed for A.V.E.M. and the glassblowers came up with the name “Bandiere” which means flag.
