Remarkable unique large polished petrified wood orb on custom brass base by Karl Springer, American 1980's. Exotic materials and superb craftsmanship were the hallmark’s of Karl Springer’s design ethos. Because the petrified wood was organic, it has depth in a way that stone does not. This piece is stunning.

The craftsmanship of these chairs is superb and they are very comfortable.

Rare and important "Ribbon Chair", model F582, upholstered with original Jack Lenor Larsen "Momentum" fabric on an ebonized base by Pierre Paulin for Artifort, The Netherlands, 1967 and distributed by Turner Ltd (signed on bottom). This is an early version in the original fabric which is exceedingly rare. This is as good as it gets!

Six arm chandelier in brass with leaves and perforated bobeches, each with suspended crystal orbs, in the style of Paavo Tynell, American 1960's. The organic motif is beautiful and the crystals add a little glamor. There is a switch on the bottom which turns the six arms on and off. The center is illuminated and is not switched.

Large abstract painting in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with hand-applied enamels of subtle coloration by Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (signed “Philip Kelvin LaVerne on bottom right). Sides are trimmed in bronze. Philip and Kelvin LaVerne did a small series of unique abstract paintings which hung in their gallery until they were sold. Only a handful were ever made. This work is exceptional in every way.

These were done as a complementary pair in a small edition. The scale and forms are stunning.
