Karl Springer Large Authentic Hand-Carved African Sculpture on Custom Suede Base 1980s

Eric McNatt

Authentic hand-carved African sculpture, woman's head with four horns, by the Ekoi tribe in Nigeria with a suede base by Karl Springer, American, 1980's (photo of original Karl Springer tag included). The horns are representations of ethnic hair styling. Karl Springer had a scout who traveled the world seeking out exceptional handcrafted ethnic art pieces. Karl Springer mounted them on custom bases and sold them in his showroom. Photo from Karl Springer's showroom in the 1980's displays the African art he carried.
