The Complete Kagan by Vladimir Kagan (forward by Tom Ford), published by Pointed Leaf Press in 2004, on page 106 there is a photo of this piece with a matching dining table stating “Subtle curves characterized a c. 1953 dining room designed for this Manhattan apartment. The graceful shape of the dining table top complemented the bowed front of the buffet, while the almond shape of the inset Venetian mosaics in both were mimicked by the custom-made chandelier above.”
