Philip and Kelvin LaVerne Rare and Important "Dance of Fauves" Console Table 1960 (Signed and Dated)
Evan Lobel
Extremely rare and important "Dance of Fauves" console table in welded and patinated bronze with vibrant hand-applied enamels in blue and green by Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960 (Signed and dated “Philip Kelvin LaVerne 60” on base). The top is blue glass. The abstract welded forms of the base are inspired by the boldness of the Post-Impressionist Fauvists of the early 20th Century. This magnificent, sculptural work is a LaVerne masterpiece.
