Pair of rare "Lighthouse Table Lamps" in exquisite blue-gray shagreen with polished nickel bases and shades by Karl Springer, American 1980's. Karl Springer only worked with the most luxurious materials. The color of the shagreen is stunning.

There are subtle undulations in the body of the lamps. These are hand-thrown and beautifully made. Brass has been polished and lacquered. Newly rewired with gold silk cords. Philip & Kelvin LaVerne Rare and Important Torso Table Lamps 1970s (signed)

Rare and important “Male and Female Torso” table lamps in Hydro Stone plaster on patinated bronze bases by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1970’s (signed "PK LaVerne" on both bases).  These table lamps have been finished with a patina that makes them look like excavated sculptures and are very impressive.  As many of the LaVerne's pieces reference historical civilizations, these reference ancient Greek and Roman sculptures.  New custom shades provided by Lobel Modern. These have been newly rewired with new bronze sockets and silk cord. There is a switch on the back of each lamp which turns both sockets on and off at the same time.
