”The Art of Philip LaVerne, Sculpture II, Bronze and Pewter Tables, catalog published in the 1970’s, photo shown on page 9 with description on page 42 which states: “Chinese artistry at its peak under the Chan Dynasty, is recreated in this intricately carved design. We see peasants carrying a sacred gift to the Emperor’s child. Delicately wrought leaves and figures, combine with a rich variety of multicolored patinas to create the Chinoiserie top. Colored patina inserts highlight the hexagonal pedestal. 36”, 40” or 48” round. The design is credited as inspiring and evoking French and English periods of furniture design”
