Extraordinary 4 door Art Deco credenza in book-matched rosewood with ribbon inlays in pewter and bronze with solid brass artisan center medallion of 3 swimming dolphins and delicate mother-of-pearl inlays around the outside of the front by Dominique, French early-1960’s. One of the most recognized names in Art Deco, Dominique was known for streamlined designs and superb inlays which are both hallmarks of this piece.

Dominique Decorateur-Ensemblier Du XX Siecle by Feix Marcilhac and publshed by Les Editions de L’Amateur in 2008, on page 284 there is a photograph of this piece on the top left with the description: “Sideboard (c 1960-1965) in book-matched rosewood with locks in nickeled metal…(documented Me Claude Boisgirard, Paris 1993).
