Karl Springer Rare and Stunning Large "Coromandel Screen" 1978 - SOLD

Evan Lobel

Rare and exceptional large 6 panel "Coromandel Screen", hand carved and hand-decorated on the front with black and red lacquer and antiqued gold and silver leaf by Karl Springer, American 1978. The back is lacquered black and the fittings are bronze. This screen is a tour de force of design - extremely difficult and time consuming to fabricate, only a few were made. The craftsmanship is off the charts. This is truly a work of art.
