”The Art of Philip LaVerne, Sculpture, Bronze and Pewter Tables”, catalog published in the 1960’s, a photo of this table is shown on page 22 with a description on page 42: “The extraordinary artistry of the Ming period is superbly captured in both detail and color in this table. The traditional Ming warrior holding the invincible sword is carved in bronze and pewter with soft patina accents of red, blues and greens.”
