Monumental and spectacular rare mirror “La Mer Dechainee” with sculpture frame in hand-welded patinated bronze with hand-painted enamels and beveled mirror by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1970s (signed “Philip Kelvin LaVerne” on bottom right corner and “PKL” on the back of the trim). The artisan craftsmanship and scale of this mirror are truly superb. According to Kelvin LaVerne, this was a unique sculpture.
