One-of-a-kind pair of monumental illuminated sculpture floor lamps in hand-brazed bronze, "Grace" and "Harmony", by Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, American ca. 1970 (signed on bases “Philip + Kelvin LaVerne”).  Philip & Kelvin LaVerne produced only these 2 illuminated sculpture floor lamps.  On the backs are the original flourescent fixtures for back lighting.  On the top are 2 bulbs on each (one in the white orb and the other recessed in the open top).  They are superb in every way.

Rare and important hand-welded and patinated bronze sculpture dining table “Symphony” with glass top by Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, American 1970’s (signed “Philip Kelvin LaVerne”). According to Kelvin LaVerne, only 3 were made. Philip and Kelvin LaVerne often used the arts as their inspiration; and music served as inspiration for several of their works. It was inspired by a symphony by Beethoven. This piece has a physical harmony and balance which is extraordinary. This table is a LaVerne masterpiece. This table can accommodate almost any size glass top. We can help fabricate a new one to spec.

Unique 2-piece "Etruscan Spiral Dining Table” in patinated bronze and pewter with engraved abstract design by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, 1960's (signed on both bases “Philip Kelvin LaVerne”). This dining table is composed of 2 square tables on bronze castors with original hardware on the undersides which latches them together to form a seamless single dining table. If you unlatch them you have 2 square dining/game tables. An ingenious design by two of the most inventive artists of the 20th century. These tables are magnificent.

One-of-a-kind sculpture game table in teak with book-matched Carpathian elm top with 2 drawers on opposite sides, each with a carved articulated hand over it, by Philip LaVerne, American 1966 (signed on top “Philip LaVerne”). The sculpted tapering legs are works of art. Philip LaVerne experimented using wood as a medium for one year.  These works from this series are extremely rare.  The craftsmanship is simply superb with dovetail construction of the drawers and hand-sculpted joinery at the corners that is second to none. Even the bottom is completely finished. This is a tour de force of design and craftsmanship.

Rare and important male and female torso table lamps in Hydro Stone plaster on patinated bronze bases by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American ca. 1970 (signed "PK LaVerne" on both bases).  These table lamps are very impressive.  As many of the LaVerne's pieces reference historical civilizations, these reference ancient Greek and Roman sculptures.  According to Kelvin LaVerne, these are extremely rare. New custom shades provided by Lobel Modern. These have been newly rewired with new bronze sockets and silk cord. There is a switch on the back of each lamp which turns both sockets on and off at the same time.

Philip and Kelvin LaVerne Important "Etruscan Spiral Extension Dining Table" 1960s (Signed)

One-of-a-kind "Etruscan Spiral Extension Dining Table" with extensions that fit on each end in patinated bronze and pewter with hand-painted polychrome enamels and unique pierced bronze bases by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960s (signed “Philip Kelvin LaVerne” on side of tabletop with original paper labels on leaves). This table was made specially for Fred and Edith Horowitz, personal friends of the LaVernes. Their initials are incorporated into the bases as part of the design; “EH” on one base and “FH” on the other base. There are rods that come out from inside the table to support the leaves; they lock in place to give the leaves solid support. This table is exceptional in every way and represents the best of the LaVernes’ art and ingenuity. The abstract graphic design on the table top is simply stunning with beautiful coloration. The pattern is continuous from the table top onto the extensions. There is a felt lined wood case which the LaVernes made for the extensions.
