Philip and Kelvin LaVerne Unique Side Table with Welded Sculpture Base 1960s (Signed)

Evan Lobel

One-of-a-kind "Kuan Su" side table with top in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with flower motif with hand-applied gold leaf and a welded abstract sculpture base by Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (signed “Philip Kelvin LaVerne” on side). The background of the top is engraved with the “Kuan” motif of interlocking circles, which is meant to evoke something from the past. The interior of the abstract base is lacquered red which can be seen through the negative space. This is a beautiful little LaVerne gem.
