Retains original paper gallery label on bottom (see pic). This table is in wonderful condition. A timeless LaVerne design.

The caption from the LaVerne catalog reads, “Chinese artistry at its peak under the Chan Dynasty is recreated in this intricately carved design. We see peasants carrying a sacred gift to the Emperor’s child. Delicately wrought leaves and figures, combine with a rich variety of multicolored patinas to create the Chinoiserie top. The design is credited as inspiring and evoking French and English periods of furniture design.”

She studied sculpture with Philip Darling, Jose De Creeft, and Lorrie Goulet at the New School, the Museum of Modern Art, the Art Students League, and the School of Visual Arts A relative late comer to the art world, Naomi Feinberg emerged as highly accomplished, multi-faceted artist who juggled architectural coherence with a preoccupation with the human form, to create works that are both experimental and primitive.
