Rare "Eros” Side Table in cast bronze with green patina and thick glass top by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1970's (signed "K Philip LaVerne" on the edge of base). The LaVernes only did cast pieces for a few years in the early 1970’s and they were done in very small editions and are considered important works of art.

Rare and important large sculpted bronze wall cabinet with enameled steel elements and 3 cleft slate top pieces by Paul Evans Studio for Direction Furniture, 1969 (signed “PE 69” on bottom). The gray steel elements set into the bronze resin are an incredible color combination. Bronze resin was created from a mixture of epoxy resin and sand applied to a plywood base and sculpted into various swirls, drips and other patterns. Once hardened, the piece was sandblasted, sprayed with an atomized bronze finish, varnished, blown with a torch to provide a smoky look, polished, and then varnished again. The resulting work has a metallic sheen but is lightweight compared with something made of cast bronze. (Photo shows wall cabinet with matching mirror, also available)

Hand-blown vase with multicolor rods by Anzolo Fuga for AVEM (Arte Vetraria Muranese), Murano Italy, ca 1955. This is one of Fuga’s most recognized designs. As the master stained glass designer on Murano, he used multicolor rods against white glass to create windows around his pieces.
