Large abstract painting "Rainforest" in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with deep green and blue enamels by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1970s (signed “Philip. Kelvin LaVerne” on front). The LaVernes created unique abstract paintings. This one is spectacular. The LaVernes loved nature and it inspired many of their artworks. The deep greens and blues are breathtaking against the dark bronze tones.

Unique Impressionist painting "Caribbean" in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with enamel cloisonne in green, yellow, blue, and red with hand-brazed braided bronze frame by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (signed “Philip K LaVerne” on front). “Caribbean” is a tribute to Caribbean women who carry heavy baskets on their heads. The LaVernes were inspired by this while on a trip to St. Thomas. It’s a spectacular work of art.

Pair of rare and exceptional "Classical Plaques" in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with mythological scenes incorporating hand-applied enamels in shades of blue and green by Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (one signed “Philip + Kelvin LaVerne” on front). These were created as a complementary pair in a small edition. The coloration of the enamels against the rich bronze background is superb.

Rare Large "Tower of Babel" painting in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with vibrant enamel cloisonne, colorful hand-painted enamels and unique engraved frame by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, 1960's (signed “Philip Kelvin LaVerne” on front). This was done as part of a special Collectors Edition framed in the Kuan motif of interlocking circles, which is meant to evoke something from the past. The depth and quality of the enamel cloisonne against the rich dark patina of the bronze and pewter is absolutely stunning.
