"Cathedral Table" with both base and top covered in contrasting leathers by Karl Springer, American 1976-78. This table was made as a prototype. The arch details are absolutely stunning.

"Classical Coffee Table" in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with hand-painted enamels showing the muses of Dance, Poetry Music and Drama by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (signed). The LaVernes were often inspired by mythology and the arts. The lighter areas on the outside of the table top are meant to give the ethereal feeling of clouds.

Pair of elegant floor lamps in chrome with glass rods, each with 3 bulbs, by Hansen Lighting, American 1960's (Signed on bases “Hansen Lamps Inc. N.Y.”) The cords are embedded in the glass so when the cords are faced to the side of the lamp they disappear due to the curvature of the glass. A clever design. Chrome has been cleaned and polished. Besides pull chains, each lamp has a foot switch.

Gilbert Rohde Elegant Set of 8 Newly Upholstered Dining Chairs 1940s - SOLD

Set of 8 elegant upholstered dining chairs model (2 arm chairs model No. 4196 and 6 side chairs model No. 4195), legs and arms in dark Pacific walnut with beautifully curved backs, by Gilbert Rohde for Herman Miller, Paldao Group, American 1940's. The front legs are conical and taper. The back legs have a gentle curve. These are the best of Rohde and are extremely comfortable. They have been completely redone by Lobel Modern - wood has been refinished; newly upholstered in a gorgeous textured velvet.

Philip and Kelvin LaVerne Rare and Exceptional Pair of Side/Bedside Cabinets 1970s (Signed) - SOLD

Pair of stunning side/bedside cabinets, one with the “Fantasia” motif and the other with the “Etruscan Spiral” motif in patinated and engraved bronze and pewter with two doors each and interiors in orange velvet. by Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, American 1970s (Signed “Philip K LaVerne” on side of both.) These cabinets were usually done with a Chinese motif. This pair with their complementary abstract designs is extremely rare.

Beautifully crafted chest of drawers with sliding vanity compartment on the left and lift up storage compartment on the right in walnut with dark palmwood bases and bronze pulls by De Coene Frères , Belgium 1960's. The vanity compartment is pulled forward so that a chair can be used with it. When the top is lifted, a mirror is revealed. The matching bedside tables and a large armoire are also available. The armoire has the De Coene Frères label. This has been newly refinished.

Philip and Kelvin LaVerne "Leda and the Swan" Unique Wall Sculpture 1960s (Signed) - SOLD

Unique wall sculpture in Hydro Stone plaster with bronze frame depicting the myth of Leda and the Swan by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (signed “PK LaVerne” on frame). Leda and the Swan is a Greek myth which the LaVernes revisited with several different works. In the myth, Zeus transforms himself into a beautiful swan and seduces Leda who he is in love with. This work is loosely based on a painting done by Michelangelo in 1530. The LaVernes were very knowledgeable about art history and had a deep fascination with historical cultures. It’s a stunning work of art.
