Set of 6 masterfully crafted J.M.F. Dining Chairs in tessellated fossilized coral with bronze sabots by Karl Springer, American 1980's. This chair was designed with a curved seat which can take a seat cushion if desired. The artisanship of these chairs is off the charts. They are absolutely stunning.

Roberto Estevez Exquisite Bull Sculpture with Sea Shells 1980s (Signed) - SOLD

Exquisite unique sculpture of a stylized bull composed of sea shells with etched brass elements and an ebonized base by Roberto Estevez, American 1980's (signed “ESTEVEZ” on plaque on base). The use of sea shells to compose parts of the bull is nothing short of genius.

Roberto Estevez was a superbly talented jewelry designer and sculptor. He designed jewelry for Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels as well as Tiffany. Roberto Estevez was Karl Springer’s life partner until his death in the 1980s. Estevez’s sophisticated and elegant designs in beautiful and often exotic materials fit in perfectly with Karl’s own aesthetic and many of Roberto’s sculptures were sold through Karl Springer’s showrooms. His ingenious animal sculptures are considered some of his best work.

French-born brothers Roberto and Mito Block worked in Mexico City from the 1930’s through the 1970’s. Their work was sold out of their Mexico City showroom, Rob Block & Cia, and featured their restrained modern interpretations of classical forms.

Anzolo Fuga Rare and Important Large Hand-Blown Glass Bird Sculpture Ca. 1957

Rare and important hand-blown glass bird on a branch with wings open, model 13884, by Anzolo Fuga for Arte Vetraria Muranese (A.V.E.M.), Murano Italy c. 1957. The work is done with sommerso technique and the colors and execution of the wings are nothing short of extraordinary. It retains the original AVEM paper stickers. This is a Fuga masterpiece.

AVEM Arte Vetraria Muranese, Artistic Production 1932-1972 by Marc Heiremans and published by Arnoldsche 2020, this piece is on page 111; on page 110 is a black and white photograph of this piece when it was first executed from the AVEM Archives. "The Untrammeled Mood of the Artist at Work", a rare figural wall sculpture in solid pewter by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (signed on front “Philip Kelvin LaVerne”). The LaVernes did a small series of cast wall sculptures incorporating nude figures set in a painter’s studio in both solid bronze or pewter in the 1960’s. These hung in the original LaVerne Gallery. This is a rare collectors work of art and includes the original gallery label.

Karl Springer Rare Backgammon/Games Table in Lacquered Goatskin 1970s - SOLD

Rare and exceptional "Parsons Style Backgammon Table" in lacquered goatskin with brass trim, backgammon board with inset gray and ox blood leather points, with flip up storage compartments and original game pieces and cups by Karl Springer, American 1970s. On the underside of the top which covers the backgammon table is a checker/chess board. Very few of these tables were made in lacquered goatskin. It is superbly crafted and very luxurious.

Rare and chic cabinet model AD-362 in grey burl wood with architectural metal accents in chrome, brass and copper by Alain Delon for Jansen, France 1972 (signed on side - see photo). The back and interior are completely finished. These pieces by Alain Delon are very hard to come by. Very few designers could mix three metals with such stunning results.
