Large round "Etruscan Spiral Coffee Table" in patinated bronze and pewter with repeating abstract circular motif by Philip & Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (signed “Philip Kelvin LaVerne” on base). The base is a sculpture in and of itself. This is the largest version of this coffee table that was produced. It’s visually arresting with the continuous intricate pattern on top.

”Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, Sculpture II”, paper catalog published in the 1970’s, on page 22 there is a photo of a coffee table with this pattern. In the back of the catalog is a description which reads: “ETRUSCAN SPIRAL: Bronze forms embedded in pewter create a pattern reminiscent of ancient Etruscan artistry. The design flows softly along the beautifully sculptured form of the table.”
