Rare high back "Luxus Executive Chair" model 7016 with molded lucite arms and tufted butterscotch leather with tilt antique bronze base by Vladimir Kagan, American 1970's (signed “Handmade in the workshops of Vladimir Kagan - Vladimir Kagan Designs, New York” on underside of seat). This chair is stunning and extremely comfortable with its molded back design.

Vladimir Kagan 1979-1980 Catalogue, section titled “Chairs 5”, on page 35 is an entry for this model titled “Luxus Executive Chair” with the description “High back contoured biscuit sewn back; polyfoam and dacron over rubber webbing. "Tri-symmetric Dining/Game Table" with base in sculpted walnut with thick glass top by Vladimir Kagan, American 1950's. This iconic table is meticulously crafted. It can take a larger glass top. Refinished by Lobel Modern.

The Complete Kagan, Vladimir Kagan a Lifetime of Avant-Garde Design published by Pointed Leaf Press in 2004, there is a photo of this table on page 86. As stated on the same page, “Organically shaped bases, shown here as a dining table detail, were the result of the designer’s early fascination with the architecture and growth patterns of arboreal roots and branches.”

Rare "Lotus Desk Chair" model 7003 in molded curved lucite with upholstered seat and back with chrome base incorporating a tilt and swivel mechanism by Vladimir Kagan, American 1970's. Polished chrome fittings on the exterior of the lucite shell. This desk chair is super chic and very comfortable.

Vladimir Kagan catalog published in the 1970’s shows this desk chair with the description: “Contoured plexiglass shell with oval padded back rest. Seat of polyfoam and dacron over rubber webbing. Tilt-swivel pedestal with four prong castor base available in chrome, satin brass or antique brass.”

Very rare set of 6 “Unicorn Dining Chairs” with polished aluminum bases and upholstered seats with channeled backs by Vladimir Kagan for Kagan-Dreyfus Inc., American early-1960’s (signed with original Kagan-Dreyfuss Inc. paper labels under seat). This remarkable set of Unicorn Dining Chairs is the only one we have ever seen come to market. Bases professionally cleaned and polished polished and seats reupholstered with gray ultra suede. These chairs are the very best of Kagan.

Vladimir Kagan Rare Serving Cart with Incredible Hand-Thrown Ceramic Tiles 1950 - SOLD

Rare and important serving cart on castors in walnut with retractable top incorporating inset hand-thrown ceramic tiles showing posed dancers by Alexandra Kasuba for Vladimir Kagan, American 1950. Kasuba did unique hand-thrown tiles with exuberant midcentury style and colors for Kagan in 1949 and 1950. The figural motif is simply remarkable.

Reference:
The Complete Kagan published by Pointed Leaf Press LLC in 2004, page 56 shows photographs of numerous pieces Kagan designed which incorporated Kasuba’s handmade tile work.

This sofa is completely modular with 1 Corner with extension unit, 1 High-Low unit, and 1 Love seat with extension unit which slides under the High-Low. The lucite bases give the impression that the sofa is floating above the ground. An iconic Kagan design.
