Iconic "Rope Table", model # 111, in plaster by John Dickinson, American 1980. This piece is a rare masterwork by one of the best designers of the 20th century.

Provenance:

The Collection of Marianna and John Beachdell.  Marianna worked directly with John Dickinson on his commercial line from 1977 until 1981.  This was acquired from the Dickinson showroom in 1980. A Letter of Provenance accompanies this table.

Rare and important "Twig" floor lamp in plaster with original galvanized steel shade  by John Dickinson, American ca 1980. Very few of these floor lamps are known to exist.

Reference:
Interior Views, Design at Its Best by Erica Brown, published by The Viking Press in 1980; section on Angelo Donghia pages 72-75.  Photo of a Donghia interior on page 74 shows a pair of these lamps (see photo).  Angelo Donghia and John Dickinson were close friends and he used many John Dickinson pieces in his interiors.  There is also a 3 Legged Table visible in the same interior.
