Rare and exceptional "Etruscan Spiral Tea Table" in bronze with engraved top in bronze and pewter with hand-painted enamels by Philip and Kelvin LaVerne, American 1960's (signed “Philip Kelvin LaVerne” on side) . These small 2 tier tea tables rarely become available and are like little jewels.

In the back of the catalog is a description which reads: “ETRUSCAN SPIRAL: Bronze forms embedded in pewter create a pattern reminiscent of ancient Etruscan artistry. The design flows softly along the beautifully sculptured form of the table.”

Unique table with an authentic African hand-carved bench with added artisan bronze fittings and thick custom glass top by Karl Springer, American 1970's. Karl Springer was adept at taking beautiful genuine artifacts and modifying them with his own artistic touches to turn them into his own functional art. This table would function as a side table or coffee table and is super chic.

Architectural Digest issue dated January/February 1977, Karl Springer apartment is featured on the cover and inside. On the cover there is a side table similar to this one: a hand-carved bench with artisan bronze fittings and custom glass top.

Karl Springer "Sculpture Table" in Polished Steel and Brass 1985 (Signed) - SOLD

Iconic “10” Diameter Sculpture Table" with polished steel base, polished brass cap and screw and thick cantilevered glass top by Karl Springer, American 1985 (impressed signature in steel “Karl Springer”). Inside the steel base is a an extremely heavy solid lead weight which keeps this table from tilting over. This table was designed to be a side table and is very sturdy; it was not designed to be a coffee table leg. This table has been professionally cleaned and polished and is in excellent condition. It was hard to photograph with the reflections; look at the environmental photo next to the chair to get see it clearly.

Large Burmese bronze Karen rain drum with intricate decoration on the top and around the body of the drum with four triple piggy-backed frogs. These drums are also referred to as frog drums and have been used for hundreds of years in various tribal rituals in south East Asia, especially so among the Karen people of Thailand and Burma for a number of different ceremonial rituals, East Asia early-20th century. We also have a smaller version of this table for sale. This table is an incredible art piece.
